Starting College: Step by Step

I am a recent college graduate from the State University of New York College at Oneonta and I remember how difficult the process was to get into college. This process is especially hard if your parents and/or siblings have not entered the academic life after high school. Their are so many questions that are going through a sophomore, junior or senior in high school's head. Should I go to a public or private school? Small or big? How will I afford it? What schools should I look at? What do I want to major in?

I can not promise the answers to any of these questions but I can help you find these answers yourself. I may not have a PhD or be a guidance counselor but I understand what is important for students. I spent my four years in college as an assistant in the admissions office, a tour guide and also worked as a Resident Advisor and President of my student government. I really hope that the information I can provide will help you in your search and success at college. If you have any questions feel free to send me a comment with your question and I will answer it to the best of my ability.

Thanks,

Dean
